of the evening’s class.
Next students are formed into Workgroups and each is given
a situation or scenario containing a business problem whose solution will
utilize the techniques that have been covered in class.
Students discuss possible solutions and technical approaches to solving the problem as a group.
From time to time students take announced and un announced
practical quizzes which require demonstration of the skills and techniques
that had been covered in the reading and class sessions.
Students are also provided with exercise sheets which are
used to practice and develop their spreadsheet skills.
Students generally began working on these problems in the lab, but
usually have to complete them at home.
