The purpose of this course is to give students a new way to look at the world around them through the study of science. Classes are designed to show students, first hand, that what they observed with their senses may be deceiving if they are not careful. Experiments and demonstrations are conducted, students observe, and then principles of modern science are used to explain what happened. The course also examines problems facing Americans from a scientific perspective.
