Preparation for a Natural Science Exam

 My examination questions will usually be conceptual in nature.  That is, you’ll be as to explain a scientific principle or tell how a scientific principle applies or does not apply to a particular situation.  I generally will not ask questions that require you to recall specific facts such as “Who discovered the scientific method?”  When did Tesla work for Edison ? “

 Examination Preparation  

• Review all of your notes from your reading and classes.

• Review the answers to the “sample” questions provided by your instructor and other students.

• Practice solving problems that were covered during class sessions.

• Practice balancing any equations used during class.

• Review the answers to the quizzes, video sheets, and other materials that have been returned to you

• Come to the examination with questions about things you do not fully understand.  Ask them in their review session right before the exam starts.

If you are careful to follow each of these steps it is likely that you will receive a good grade.
