Developing and Manageing Databases National Louis University

The Database Project

The major gradable for this database course is the development of a Microsoft Access database project that solves a work or home related information management problem. It allows students to demonstrate the mastery of relational database theory and Microsoft Access skills covered throughout the entire course. Students select their project and define associated requirements early in the course so that they can implement features and capabilities shortly after they are taught in class. Some lab time in each session is made available to students to work on their course project so that they can receive assistance from the instructor. Successful students start their project by the second class session and submit it to the instructor shortly after the last class session.
