Specific Session Learning Objectives:

1. The broadband connectivity options, including, but not limited to Digital Subscriber Lines, Cable Modem, and Satellite will be explored. The advantages and disadvantages of each will be compared.

2. Practical solutions for typical broadband connection problems will be developed and effectively presented.

3. Computer hardware needed for broadband connectivity will be identified and demonstrated.

4. The advantages of broadband Internet connectivity and its effective use by educators will be explained and demonstrated.

5. The knowledge necessary to make an informed decision about broadband networking will be developed and the practical skills needed for setup will be obtained.
